This was the first time I have attended to a concert there. I am sort-of anti-casino, but I was very surprised at the EXCELLENT, SPECTACULAR venue..IT IS GREAT FOR A CONCERT!! I WILL go back for a show.... There is an upstairs, elevators, nooks and crannies. There are 4 bars on both levels, as well full table service ... FUN ... It got very drunk that night. We had blast.
We took a cab, attempting to be very late, but we were still subjected to the middle band, dang it ... they were a "punkish go fast rock band which was not in the mood, so the songs were flat. The crowd was thin ( which I like ) and the band was not professional enough to "kick it" for a small crowd...oh well fk em...that is why I skip opening acts ... Asa matter of fact over the years we have masteredthe art of arriving late for show. This is not only a great way to PRE-party, it also adds that extra buzz of waiting until the last minute, and then ... OH NO MrBILL, ARE WE GOING TO BE LATE?????...it just adds to the FUN
During the show, partying with our new friends, I was informed that the 1st band, "BLACKPOOL LIGHTS", a local Kansas City band, ripped it up....so go figure. I met the boyz from "BLACKPOOL LIGHTS" after the show. I even bought a Tshirt and CD ... Like I said it was very drunk out that night.
This was my first show with JET. We were delighted with our SPECTAULAR SEATS/STAND ... and JET kicked ass. They blazed through a 2 hour set, playing all the hits from "GET BORN", in addition to mixing in new songs. Our set list reporting is rough because I am not a "JET" expert, but I am a fan. I liked "JET" after hearing the 5th song off of "GET BORN". Five BIG HIT great songs on any debut CD is SPECTACULAR!!!!!!.
