I traveled from KC to see this show, and it is was well worth the trip. We stood in the pit, in front of the stage, on Dave and Duff's side. They were "ON IT", KICKING ASS ALL NIGHT. It was rock and roll AMAZINGLYTERRIFIC!!
Special thanks to Dave Kushner for the pick I caught.

They also sold special California Wild fire event shirts, and over all I rate the show a 10, and the DEC 12th dated speacil shirts commemorate a great show on a great night.

Scott still talks too much, but Slash's leads make up for it.
This was the 5 or 6th show in the series of "Yahoo Music"/"Nissan Live sets" concerts. Christina Aguilera, Maroon 5 and other artists have performed these shows.
I responded to the email at 9:00 AM the next morning, when I read it. They did not respond andtell us that WE WON until Wednesday night at 9:58.
I bought an airline tickets and flew out to Cali-Forn-I-A.....going rock with Slash.
The email said I had to tell them BEFORE midnight on Thursday, my guest's name. I confirmed with my friend in LA, to see if he really wanted to go, and emailed them back and I was ready to go.
I flew in the night before to meet up with my friend.
We were surprised at lack of information on the web about the event. I had my printed instructions, so on Friday night we headed towards the location. Out of respect and appreciation I will not post the addres, but I will tell you all about the particulars. We we told to drive to a parking structure, and a bus would pick us up there, and drive us to the stage. It said we the first bus would drive at 4:00, and the last bus was at 6:30. We arrived at 5:30 and the bus drove us around the corner, where aline of 50 people stood.
We checked in with our goverment issued IDs ( it was required that our names matched the names I had emailed them) We were "wanded for metal ( IT ALSO SAID NO CAMERAS ) and then directed to stand in line. Shortly the cattle were ushered 500 yards away to a staging area, where there were already 100 people in line.
My friend relealized that he did not have the wristband everuone else did, so he has to be escorted 500 yards back to starting point. The wristbandt was not an issue then ,but if he had waited he would have been fkd. GET THE WRISTBAND, or you WILL NOT GET IN THE SHOW. The reason is, this is a working studio lot, and many people NOT attending the event are in the area. It was fun to talk with the "insiders" there who did not even know abouyt the show.
We stood in line for 2 hours. There is a small bathroom, and a place to buy candy bars and soft drinks. I thought this part of the event was LAME.....waiting waiting waiting ... no beer ... no info ... I was REALLY HOPING for a beer, or something ... NOTICE!!!!! THERE IS NO FOOD, NO DRINKS AND NO BATHROOM INSIDE THE STUDIO during the concert.
I should have packed some pocket refreshments, but I thought they would supply something. I thought this was a special event for fans only, but really the show is a "mini" 9 song concert recorded for Yahoo music. The 200 winners plus guest are only/just/merely/lowly "props" for the show. That is OK...it was GREAT TO SEE SLASH jamming. I am not complaining, I am REPORTING SPECTACULAR.
After waiting and waiting and waiting and seeing another 200 people show up behind us, they finally started to let us in the studio. I reccomend arriving at the parking structure FIRST. and being FIRST IN LINE..Then you will be first in the studio, and UP FRONT. As it was...we surveyed the studio and quickly made our way to the RIGHT SIDE of the stage ( Slash's side )and with our backs to the wall, we were 10 feet from the stage. SOOoooo that "arrive first" advice with a grain of salt. I think the best spot is where we stood (STOOD, no chairs) on the right side. The other side will hold A LOT more people and looked too crowded. After the smaller right side fills up they stop letting people over there, and that made it NOT CROWDED.
I WILL BE BACK SOON TO WRITE MORE..I mainly wanted to post about the NO DRINKS, but there are many more details/tips that are kewl.......
